MAC Lightful C Marine Bright Formula Cleanser review

Hi weirdos,
I hope you’re enjoying the long weekend. I’ve basically become a couch potato with my laptop, coffee, food and well WordPress. My new series is Legion, anyone watching it? It is based Marvels Comics character David Haller, it is mind blowing to say the least.
Anyway this post is a review of Mac Lightful C cleanser. You’re probably thinking who buys Mac Skincare? Mac is well known for their make up but never have I ever heard someone mention their skincare to me. I was lucky enough to get this from a friend.

My experience with the MAC Lightful C Marine Bright Formula Cleanser:
Well looking at the ingredients, you can see its full of root extracts and other good ingredients. There is a slight fragrance but I barely smell it. It is one good foaming cleanser which feels thick and creamy in consistency and produces a good amount of lather when you use it with water. Trust me when I say you only need less than a pea-sized amount to get a thoroughly cleansed face.

After running hand under tap twice

The cleanser spreads easily on to the face and quickly works up a lather.  There’s no tingling or any such effect. It quickly washes off.  After rinsing, my skin feels fresh and completely clean. The cleanser does not leave a residue behind. It also does not make the skin overtly dry or stretchy.  You know, it’s exactly what you think your perfect face wash/cleanser should be like. It definitely tops my list of foaming cleaners/face washes.

I do not have any cons for this cleanser besides maybe that it cannot remove a full face of make up, I usually use a make up remover then use it. I usually have light make up on or no make up so this works perfectly for me.
I have used this for months now and even through summer I would use this cleanser most often it to get rid of stickiness on my face because it doesn’t dry out the skin or leave it strechy like other foaming cleansers.
It does brighten up your skin tone. With more regular use you can definitely see a difference in the appearance of your skin. I do not have acne or breakouts but I do sometimes get pimples on my chin when have been much less frequent to non-existent while using this. This is not granular like a scrub so it has no effect on blackheads/white heads. However it does clean the face thoroughly and soothe the skin.

Overall thoughts:
Considering that I have had this since November last year and it seems to still be seventy percent full, it will last me this whole year if not longer. It expires in 24 months. This shows you that such a little of it goes such a long way. I think for the price point it is worth it. In my opinion, this is a “perfect” foaming cleanser and for all skin types for dry, sensitive, acne prone, normal, combination – everything. For reference I am combination with a slightly oily T-zone. I rate this 10/10. I cannot find one thing to criticize about it.
Here is a pic the beginning of 7th February and 6th April to show the difference in appearance of my skin. No make up on besides lipstick in the April pic.

I use this in conjunction with the Mac Lightful C moisturiser which I will review soonest.

Great review. Mac skincare is the best but so expensive.

I totally agree! It does last a long time though. Especially if you alternate with another brand.
