Hi weirdos,
One of favourite products for 2018 is definitely the Dermalogica BioLumin-C Serum. My skin concerns are pigmentation, dark circles, hydration and anti-aging and I feel like this is a magical concoction that answers all of my prayers. I know this review is months late but I have posted about it on my social media so I am sure you have must have seen it if you follow me.
Vitamin C serums have been growing ever popular as they have a number of benefits. It fights sun damage caused by free radicals as it is rich in antioxidants. One of its benefits I noticed on my skin was its ability to reduce pigmentation and improve evenness of my complexion. Another property of Vitamin C is its hydrating capability which helps the skin to retain moisture.
We went to Knysna over the festive period and I really felt like my skin became very dry and overexposed to the sun. Since I got back I started using this Biolumin-c serum and it has made a world of a difference. My hydration levels picked up and overall my skin feels more plum and radiant. With consistent use of the Biolumin-c serum I have seen my dark circles improve and my complexion brighten. In fact, people have just been telling me my skin is glowing, it means the product is really working if other people notice it too!
The main ingredients in the Biolumin-c serum are lactic acid which helps aid cells turn over for brighter and more hydrated skin, Sophora japonica flower extracts that calms skin and combats oxidative stress and Salvia hispanica (chia seed) oil hydrates which prevents free radical damage.
Another great benefit of vitamin c is its ability to boost collagen production and we could all use some anti-aging right? Collagen production is linked to firmness and elasticity. Biolumin-c high concentration of vitamin c helps make the skin become firmer and it has a tightening effect. It also helps with reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The Dermalogic biolumin-c serum is packaged in a beautiful white glass bottle with a dropper. The reason for this is vitamin c can be very unstable, in this way it makes it less susceptible to oxidation and easy to apply. It has a refreshing citrus scent that isn’t too strong; I quite like it. The consistency of the liquid is not too runny and it absorbs quite quickly into the skin.
Biolumin-c serum 30ml can be bought for R1 495 which should last 6 weeks if used morning and evening. You can find it on the Dermalogica online store or any Dermalogica stockist. You would cleanse, tone and then apply your biolumin-c serum, thereafter apply your moisturiser and be sure to apply SPF.
Let me know if you have tried this product and what you think of it? I know I love it! Read my previous Dermalogica here.

Loved this post π
Thank you
I think you meant to say that AHA/Lactic Acid makes this prone to sun sensitivity and not vitamin c. Vit C is a powerful antioxidant which is not for itβs sun damage reversal and not the other way round π great photos though!
Hi oh yes! You are correct. I have corrected it.
