The One App That Lets You To Save While You Spend – The Entertainer App + Giveaway

Hi weirdos,
I am a terrible saver, we all know this about me. What if I told you that you can save while you spend, would you believe me? This is not some hogwash or pyramid scheme but it’s an app that has 2-for-1 deals on almost everything! Yup, as the title suggests it’s the Entertainer app present in 15 countries worldwide. The Entertainer first launched a mobile app in 2013 and I heard of it when I came back to Cape Town in 2014.
This is the first year I have my own the Entertainer app but I have used it from family and friends before. Fittingly, it has a new family accounts feature which means you can share your app with up to 4 people. They can have their own login and password which makes life so much more convenient! Combined we have saved R840 over 3 months, now do you believe me?
So how exactly does the Entertainer app work? It’s pretty simple. All you have to do is download the app, purchase a license and get browsing.  Since it is a year long license, the best time to purchase would be in January but even purchasing in August would help you save. There are over 1,100 outlets across Cape Town alone, each one has 3 vouchers or more. They provide a few categories for you to choose from, such as food & drink, beauty & fitness, travel etc. After you specify what you are in the mood for, the search will reveal suitable spots nearby your location or anywhere in your province.

An amazing selection of “Buy One Night Get One Free offers” in over 150 hotels and resorts across the Middle East, Asia and the Indian Ocean. That’s right, 2-for-1 hotel nights in over 30 destinations around the world! Thinking of jetting off to Dubai or Maldives soon? With the Entertainer you can travel for half the price!
You are able to view the menu or deals in app, then you may venture off to your selected venue. When you arrive or before you pay your bill let them know that you are using your Entertainer app and the service assistant will enter a code on your app to redeem the voucher. They will subtract the meals/services that is free and ta-da you save!

It really is that simple and has made my life so much easier in terms of finance; being a student and blogging can be a costly affair. Now when I feel like eating out, wine-tasting or even if I want to do my hair or nails I first check my Entertainer app. I also wrote about my Top 5 Vibey Vegetarian places to check out in Cape Town on their blog, which you can read about here.

Hey there, I would love to use this as I have 3 kids, and sadly life has become so pricey, going out is unaffordable. I have downloaded the app, and was impressed with all there is on offer, perfect for days out and holidays(couldn’t afford to buy it yet though) xx

This is so amazing. As a student myself, I can 100% relate. And because of student budget, I hardly ever go out with friends because 90% of the time, we are all broke or some of us don’t have money at that time so we basically have reported to eating out on special occasionally i.e birthdays or so.
Would absolutely love to win this because a little really does go a long way for us as students and saving even a R50 is worthwhile. And it would also give me the opportunity to explore more eating places in Cape Town and just explore my city in general. Lived here all my life but I havent experienced all Cape Town has to offer me.

I’m a housewife, student and mum of 2 so this app would help me immensely budget wise. I rarely get the opportunity to treat hubby or my girls or myself for that matter because all my spending goes into personal needs and old debts so I really have a lot of month at the end of my money 😭

This would enable us to have more family experiences and save at the same time.
