Sleek MakeUP Blush in Rose Gold Review

Hi my weirdos 🙂
I hope your week has started off well, if not I hope this post makes you blush! Pun intended. I am one of those people that cannot go without blush if I am wearing foundation because I feel like it looks like an empty canvas. The Sleek MakeUP rose gold blush was highly recommended and I had to get it.

Packaging:

8g/ 0.27oz. Sleek MakeUP blushes has sleek matte black plastic packaging. See what I did there? Nothing fancy here, a sturdy casing with a rather large mirror inside which is perfect for touch ups. I do like the look and feel of the brand.(sucker for all black anything). It holds 8g of product but is still compact and this makes it perfect for travel as well as everyday use. The only downside is that it is not easy to open which does annoy me at times.

My experience with the Sleek MakeUP blush:

This is a quite shimmery and pigmented blush. It has a firm yet soft texture. I like that it blends out quite nicely and does not look too shiny on the skin. I apply with a blush brush for a subtle look but if I want it to look more prominent I use my finger. The colour is absolutely gorgeous, it’s a rosy pink with gold shimmer. I have medium to deep olive skin tone with yellow undertones and it looks perfect on me, I think it will suit most skin tones.

It applies like a dream and contains no glitter. This makes it suitable for people with larger pores and fine lines. The wear time is good, it can last up to 9 hours with a primer. It illuminates the skin yet is still flattering which is not easy to find in the blush world. I can use this blush without a highlighter and still glow if I apply a bit more.

Swatches:

This is a great dupe for the NARS Orgasm blush with the colour and texture. See below.

Overall thoughts:

For the price point and pigmentation as well as wear time I think this is a great product. I would rate it a 8/10 because it isn’t that easy to open. Also, the wear time is shorter without a primer you may need to reapply after about 4-5 hours. If you want something to give you a dewy glow finish, this is great, I think for winter it’s really going to light up my face. At the moment, it is my favourite blush, a little also goes a long way.

This is what it looks like on my cheeks 🙂

It looks amazing on your skin. Would be way too bright for me and I can’t wear shimmery blush….over 30, pores and all…lol. I just find shimmery blushes are a disaster on me 🙁 Such a pity…..
You’re such a selfie pro…I need to come to you for classes. he he

My friends older than 30 wear it and love it. It’s suitable for people with larger pores and fine lines. Maybe try it.Awh thank you. All about finding good lighting

I’ve tried a shimmery Sigma blush and it looked absolutely awful on me. My pores were shocking. So I just never tried any shimmer type of blush again. Maybe I’ll give it a go if I spot something similar again. Perhaps the Sigma is a different formula.

Ah yeah does depend on the formula. I do have a creamy Revlon eye and cheek tint that is shimmery that I use as blush that would work if you want something shimmery. Will send you a picture
